Austrade "Clean Technology for the Future" seminar - Perth, 26 May 2009

Austrade seminar designed for sustainable energy firms to understand the range of government services and programs available to help them expand and compete internationally.

Carbon Neutral - Your Business Our World (Business opportunities in a carbon constrained economy) - 16 June 2009
An opportunity to save money, reduce risk and increase your competitive advantage in a low carbon world. Carbon Neutral aims to provide practical information on how effective carbon reduction strategies for small to medium sized organisations can lead to cost savings and increase your competitive advantage. This workshop will also discuss the impact regulatory schemes will have on your organisation and the funding mechanisms available to offset the costs.

Urban Renewables Workshop - 5 August 2009
WA SEA will be holding a workshop on Wednesday 5 August at 2:00pm. This workshop will look at ideas for renewable energy projects within the urban environment. Places will be limited and we are looking for business with commercial ready technologies or projects that would suit a mixed urban/commercial environment.

Mornin' gov', hoots mon, bonjour and buenos días - a view of renewable energy in UK and Europe.

WA SEA CEO Ray Wills was in the UK and parts of Europe earlier this year and met with British and Scottish Government officials, UK and EU businesses and industry associations, and attended a number of sustainable energy events. He has come back with some observations on the markets in the UK and EU, and will present these together some comparison to the Australian market, and some insights into the need for action in Australia.

Following the recently announced consultation period for the changes to the R&D tax Concession / Credit scheme, WA SEA is looking to provide a submission to Treasury on behalf of members. Due to the importance of R&D to many of our members, WA SEA would like to invite you to attend a feedback session to hear your ideas and opinions on the potential impact of the proposed R&D legislation changes on your business.

WA SEA Regulatory Barriers Workshop - Tuesday 20 October 2009, WASEA Offices, 1186 Hay St West Perth

WE SEA is undertaking a member-only workshop to identify key regulatory barriers and issues facing retailers, installers and users of renewable energy systems. The key to the removal of barriers is their identification and understanding how they impeded businesses. We are seeking members views on these issues to assist us with developing policy recommendations for different industry segments

Almost 40 years after starting Spire Corporation, Roger G. Little continues to build a list of impressive accomplishments. He founded Spire in 1969, just five years after earning his Master of Science degree in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
